Additional Tour Information

Carrick

Stop #1

Carrickfergus Castle

Enjoy the first stop of the tour at Carrickfergus Castle – Ireland's best preserved Norman Fortress, where you’ll have time to grab a coffee and get a selfie with the statue of the famous King William! We then start our journey along the Causeway Coastal Route – voted one of the “Top 5 Scenic Drives in the World”.

Stop #2

Carnlough

This quaint fishing village is a beautiful stop with a harbour which dates back to the 19th Century, and has deep connections to Winston Churchill.

Stop #3

Portaneevy Viewing Point/Carrick-a-Rede Ropebridge

You’ll be amazed when you see the iconic ropebridge that was originally built by salmon fishermen over 250 years ago! It is suspended 30meters above the Atlantic Ocean, and spans 20 meters wide (photo stop only, no option available to cross the bridge).

Stop #4

Lunch – Fullerton Arms, Ballintoy

By now you’ll be ready to enjoy some local pub grub style food in the popular Fullerton Arms. Your driver will share a menu onboard the coach which will allow you to pre-order food, that can be washed down with a pint of Guinness, or one of their famous Irish Coffees! (cost not included)

Giant's Causeway

Stop #5

Giant’s Causeway

The main stop of the day is at this iconic natural wonder of the world. Whether you believe the science behind its creation, or the folklore behind Irish Giant Finn MacCool who created it during an argument with a Scottish Giant – you can’t fail to be amazed by it. Make sure you have your phone charged up for photos that you’ll not capture anywhere else in the world!

Stop #6

Dunluce Castle

The dramatic ruins of this medieval fortress are balanced on the edge of the cliffs on the North Antrim Coastline. Dating back to the 1500’s you’ll wonder how they are still clinging on to land!

Stop #7

Bushmills

Bushmills is the home of The World’s Oldest Licenced Whiskey Distillery – Old Bushmills (1608).  It is a historic picturesque village, located on the River Bush. You’ll have free time here to have a look around some of the locally owned independent shops, or pop into the Gift Shop at the Distillery to grab a bottle of 12 year single malt that you can even have personalised!

Stop #8

The Dark Hedges

The final stop of the day is the iconic Dark Hedges – made famous by the hit TV show Game of Thrones. The stunning tree lined road was originally planted by The Stuart Family in 1775 as a dramatic entrance to their estate, but is now better known as The Kings Road. This is the last stop of the day before heading back to Belfast, and a great place to grab one last coffee or snack for the journey home to enjoy while you look back over your Instagram worthy photos, and remember the fun you’ve had along the way.

Check in

Check-in for this tour opens daily at 8am just outside our office at 22-32 Donegall Road. The last coach will leave at 8.30am sharp. Unfortunately we cannot delay the start time of the tour in order to fit everything in to this fun filled day. The tour will return to Donegall Square West/City Hall at approximately 6pm.

Please note:

  • You must listen carefully to your driver throughout the tour to ensure you know where and what time to reboard the coach at each stop.
  • Please come dressed appropriately for both the activity and the season. Comfy shoes are a must, as are layers for our changeable weather!
  • This activity requires an average level of fitness – you can walk as much or little as you like.

The running order of this tour may be changed on the day of the tour to enhance customer enjoyment. There are also rare occasions when some stops may not be visited for reasons beyond our control, but we will always do our absolute best to compensate this with either a substitute visit to another location, or additional times as other stops.

Ticket Prices

Tickets for this tour are £35 per person.

For guests wishing to enhance their travel experience, a Premium Seat Upgrade is available for an additional £10 per person, providing reserved seating within the first four rows of the coach.
